Weekly observations, daily estimates

Official gas and diesel observations come from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) each week. Between releases, GasPulse can show labeled daily modeled estimates when fresh inputs are available. Check the source and date; saved data may appear when a refresh is unavailable.

When weekly gas prices update

Area averages, not pump quotes

GasPulse shows state or regional averages, not prices at individual stations. Some states share an EIA regional series, and daily estimates may use regional proxies. The app labels coverage so a regional average is not mistaken for a separate state measurement.
